All makes of Caravans/ Motorhomes serviced and repaired by fully trained and technicians. We can provide an estimate for any additional repair work identified during a service and we use genuine parts where possible.
We are an approved centre for:
Caravan Servicing – we carry out an extensive service in accordance with the latest maintenance manual specification, the following systems are checked:-
Electrical system
- Battery- check condition, security, electrolyte level & lubrication terminals, battery is charged if required
- 12n/12s/13 pin plugs inspected and replaced if needed
- RCD unit check and operation of MCB’s
- Test wiring sockets, plugs, fuses
- External lights, reflectors cleaned , check condition and operation
- Check awning lights
- Operation of internal lighting
- Fridge check operation, check vents, exhaust and that fridge is secure
- Smoke alarm
- Test 240v plug in to mains test socket inside and out, check earth connection going to chassis
Water system
- Operation of water pump, pressure switch and heater & clean grit filter
- Taps and shower
- Toilet operation flush and seals
- Hot water system
- Waste system, checked for leaks
- Water filter and housing, checked for leaks and replace filter if necessary
- Drain down – winter only
Bodywork and fixings
- Damp meter test- readings recorded on Damp report
- Exterior sealants and trim – report any damage & sealant condition
- Grab handles security and sealing
- Doors /Window stays/locks/hinges, checked for operation & lubricate
- Roof lights and seals
- Floor checked for delamination
- Window seals & blinds
Chassis and running gear
- Handbrake operation- checked for operation & lubricate
- Tyre condition and tyre pressure, assess age (including spare)
- Wheels checked for damage and distortion
- Suspension & shock absorbers (if fitted)- check operation
- Adjust/check brakes , brake drums removed & brake shoes inspected, adjusted & cleaned
- Check corner steadies checked for operation, damage & lubricate.
- Coupling head and safety catch – checked for wear and lubricate
- Check damper for leaks and efficiency
- Strip down jockey wheel inspect and lubricate
- Chassis check for security, lubricate legs and brake linkage
Gas supply and appliances
- Gas pressure test, vents and flues, rubber gas pipe
- Gas leak test
- Gas dispersal holes- checked for blockage
- Water heater test
- Cooking appliance test
- Test fridge for cooling
- Gas cylinder check security
